I just got done reading an article on NFL.com by Jason Smith, and it was post about the top 32 QB's going into the 2012 season. On this list Matthew Stafford ranked 11th, behind Cam Newton, Michael Vick, and Philip Rivers.
Now if I'm not mistaken Rivers threw 27 TD's and 20 INT's leading the chargers to an impressive 8-8 record.
Michael Vick, threw for 18 TD's and 14 INT's leading the "Dream Team" Eagles to an 8-8 record as well.
Now Cam Newton is not as bad considering he's a rookie throwing for 21 TD's and 17 INT's and a 6-10 record, yet still ranking over Stafford's 41 TD's to 16 INT's.
They say that Stafford still needs another year to prove he is at least top 10 worthy, yet Newton has only played for 1 year and people are already saying he's elite.
Now, I understand this may be an over reaction, and even now as I write this I've cooled down a bit, but i still want to know, what do you think? Are the Lions being disrespected?
