Detroit Lions Announce Tryout Players For Rookie Minicamp

A day after announcing the signing of 17 undrafted free agents, the Detroit Lions have announced the list of players invited to participate in their rookie minicamp this weekend. The 19 players listed will try out for the team during the camp and look to make an impression on the coaching staff. Here's the list:

  • QB R.J. Archer (William & Mary)
  • RB Jacquise Terry (Kent State)
  • WR Wallace Miles (North Carolina A&T)
  • WR Armauni Johnson (Idaho)
  • OT A.J. Strum (Ohio)
  • OT Phillip Price (Clemson)
  • OT Greg Shaw (LSU)
  • OG Michael Hoag (Wake Forest)
  • C Kris Cavitt (Louisiana Tech)
  • DE Todd Storm (Michigan Tech)
  • DE Ayanga Okpokowuruk (Duke)
  • DE Brad Ohrman (Eastern Michigan)
  • DT Maurice Hampton (Maryland)
  • DT Brandon Rankin (Washington State)
  • LB Aaron Oliver (Arizona State)
  • CB Gary Gray (Notre Dame)
  • CB Fabian Connor (Purdue)
  • CB Troy Woolfolk (Michigan)
  • S Sam Proctor (Oklahoma)

The three players who had been reported as signing with the Lions as UDFAs but weren't on the official list (Terry, Rankin and Proctor) ended up being invited to camp as tryouts, as expected. That clears up the discrepancy between the unofficial list and the official list of UDFAs.
