For arguments sake..

after the first round of OTA's and no significant player movement to follow- we fill the hours with endless debate, and ideas regarding the NFL.

This thought provoking series is aimed to bring to light these controversial issues and open them up to argument.

Now not being too controversial myself, I can still get things started

after the jump

Cliff Avril will be worth the Franchise tender, as well as worth locking up to a long term contract. The Lions have been known to pay for leadership, and with KVB getting older, as well as some other vets, a proven professional will be needed. He'll help keep the line hungry, plus the added dimension that other players will see the Lions reward their own.

The Team in Washington absolutely should do the right thing and change their name or move out of the Nations' Capital. I'd be fine with them in LA -

Tebow was not a reach- he's accomplished more than supposedly better players. I don't like the Jets so it is hard for me to root for him now, but he's proving everyone wrong so far. When the Lions went 0-fer , would Lions fans have enjoyed playoff football and positive national attention or would we have preferred to feature a traditional but non successful system, or would we prefer to make and win a playoff game? While Denver's D may have been playing great, successful teams still take leaders willing to work hard.
