Wide receiver Jared Karstetter isn't the only former Washington State player set to join the Detroit Lions. The Lions have also signed former Washington State defensive end Brandon Rankin, according to the following tweet.
Congrats to outgoing Cougar D-lineman Brandon Rankin, who has signed a free-agent deal with the Lions, joining teammate Jared Karsetter.

Rankin started the final nine games of the 2011 season for Washington State and received an All-Pac-12 honorable mention. He had 20 tackles and 2.5 sacks in the 12 games he appeared in for the Cougars.
He is the third defensive linemen on the list of UDFA signings by the Lions that we know about. The other two DL are defensive tackles Michael Cosgrove and Edmon McClam. You can check out the full list of UDFA signings here.
