Post-Draft Analysis

So a week after the draft, I've still been pondering some of the Lions draft picks, especially the Broyles pick. I know most of us Lions fans thought wide receiver was the last position we would address in the first couple rounds, and in the eyes of some, our draft went downhill after making a great selection of Riley Reiff in the first round...

But I've been reading some draft reviews online, and honestly, I couldn't be happier with the Lions draft now. We addressed needs at cornerback, and although none of the guys are named Claiborne, Gilmore, or Kirkpatrick, they will all provide depth and push the starters, whoever they may be. The Broyles pick is starting to make more and more sense as I look into it as well. Burleson has lost a step, Pettigrew can't be our only guy who goes over the middle, we throw the ball every down anyhow, and there isn't a better route-runner in this class than Ryan Broyles. Not to mention, the kid is a punt returner as well. All in all, I'm very content with this draft. Anybody who isn't, check out this review, sums up our draft perfectly:

P.S.- Sorry if I'm late to the party on draft talk
