In the spirit of the NFL Network's Top 100 Players countdown, who would you pick as the top 10 Lions? I built my list, it's tougher than I thought it would be.
No-brainers:
1. Calvin Johnson - No doubt about it, this guy is among the super elite
2. Matthew Stafford - 41 is a bit of a snub for the best young passer in the game
3. Ndamukong Suh - Easily our best and most impactful defensive player, it was very hard for me not to rank him number 2.
Here's where it gets tough for me:
4. Cliff Avril - Had a very good season last year
5. Louis Delmas - Probably our second best defensive player when healthy
6. Stephen Tulloch - Quietly had a very solid year, a sure tackler that does his job in the middle
7. Brandon Pettigrew - Did a great job exploiting openings in the middle of the field
8. Chris Houston - Our best cover guy, had a solid season
9. Titus Young - Started slow, but improved throughout the season. Moving forward, I expect very good things from him
10. Jason Hanson - I just couldn't leave him off the list
