- Matthew Stafford took part in the 2012 ESPY Celebrity Golf Classic earlier this month. On Friday, ESPN posted some video of Stafford at the event:
- After not getting a long-term deal done, Detroit Lions defensive end Cliff Avril stopped by ESPN. He appeared on various shows, including Scott Van Pelt's radio show and SportsCenter.
- The Lions came in 15th in SB Nation's offensive line rankings, eighth in their tight end rankings and 20th in their running back rankings.
- Sports Illustrated gave the Lions a C grade for their offseason. While SI at least acknowledged that the Lions were able to re-sign a lot of their players, the grade is based on the idea that Detroit didn't necessarily get better anywhere. As I argued when ESPN's offseason rankings came out, it's laughable to say the Lions didn't improve this offseason.
- Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt and Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Donald Washington are the latest two NFL players to be arrested.
