I am getting very excited to have the season just be right around the corner. I wan to bask in the glow of this coming season and forgot about this off season. I got my tickets in the mail to take my daughter to her first game. This got me thinking about what my top memories of seeing the Lions live.
Here are my top three moments...
3. Barry Sanders first game. It was my first time in the Silverdome. I was 12 years old. I can close my eyes and still here the chants for Barry! Barry! I had no idea why I was chanting, but that is when I became a Lions fan.
2. Monday Night win Vs Bears. This was the loudest I have ever heard anything. The noise felt like a wall. I was with my Dad and I could not even hear him. I get goosebumps just thinking about. It felt like we were part of the reason why they won.
1. Playoff win vs Dallas. I had terrible seats and some one spilled beer on me and I was surrounded by Cowboy fans. Best game ever! Eric Kramer was on fire and the run by Barry to put the dagger in the hearts of the Cowboys. I sang the “Na Na Na Na Na, Hey Hey goodbye” song at the top of my lungs as Cowboy fans did the walk of shame.
