NFL Training Camp Dates Officially Announced

Stay connected for news and updates

Although most of the training camp dates for the NFL had been previously announced or leaked out, they weren't made official by the league until Monday. The NFL announced the dates and locations for all 32 teams today, and now it is official that the Detroit Lions will open training camp with veterans reporting on July 26 and rookies (and injured players) reporting on July 23. The first practice is expected to be held on July 27.

In the NFC North, the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers will be the first two teams to have all of their players report. Both teams are scheduled to have rookies and veterans report on July 25, whereas the Minnesota Vikings have all of their players set to report on July 26.

Amazingly, the Buffalo Bills kicked off training camp today. While practices aren't beginning this early, the Bills' rookies are reporting to camp today. Why so early? I'm not quite sure, but this is definitely a sign that the offseason is almost over.
