The Detroit Lions have announced their starting lineup for Friday night's game against the Cleveland Browns, which kicks off in an hour. Here's a look at the starters on both offense and defense:
OffenseQB Matthew Stafford |
DefenseDE Lawrence Jackson |
The starting lineup for the offense contains no surprises. In all likelihood, this is what the Lions' starting lineup in Week 1 of the regular season will look like unless Jahvid Best is cleared in the near future.
On defense, there are a few regular starters out. Lawrence Jackson and Willie Young are starting because Kyle Vanden Bosch and Cliff Avril are out, and John Wendling is in the starting lineup in place of Louis Delmas. The other notable thing about the defensive starting lineup is that Bill Bentley is in fact starting in his first game in the NFL.
