Alright Martin Mayhew. I think you've done a very good job so far rebuilding the Lions. However, I think the time is NOW, to pull the trigger on a trade, or even two, not for picks, but for a quality rotational player or two for our defensive backfield.

I'm talking somebody better than Sean Jones and Jacob Lacey.

We need the new player(s) to be in camp as soon as possible too ! I no longer feel that the revolving door of "tryouts" you've been giving to marginal talents at DB, for a number of years now, will get the job done. There has to be a quality DB or two on someone else's roster, that you've had your eye on, that you can mayhew onto our roster.

We don't even have the cap room to resign Cherilus, W Young, Avril, C Williams, Delmas, Levy, Stafford, Houston, etc..

And. We seem to have an overabundance of talent at certain positions. What are you going to do ? - Just cut talented players loose ? Seems to me, you seriously need to start working the phones, now, not later. I get it, that you and the coaching staff are starting to rebuild the DB group through the draft and FA etc., now how about a serious attempt at a trade ?

So - there it is - I'm expecting a serious mayhewing any day now !
