Mikel Leshoure Practices For Lions; Stefan Logan Out With Ankle Injury

Detroit Lions running back Mikel Leshoure returned to practice last Wednesday after missing most of training camp. On Sunday, the Lions held their first practice since then and Leshoure was once again on the field with his teammates. While Leshoure did not play against the Baltimore Ravens on Friday, he is getting closer to being ready for game action, as evidenced by him being a full participant on Sunday.

Leshoure isn't sure if he is going to play next week, but if he can practice every day leading up to next Saturday's game against the Oakland Raiders, I don't see why he wouldn't be able to finally make his NFL debut. As long as his hamstring doesn't give him any issues and he's able to go through practice, he should be able to play in Oakland.

Fellow Lions running back Stefan Logan did not practice on Sunday. This comes as no surprise given he was in a boot and on crutches following Friday's game in Baltimore. The good news is that he was no longer on crutches on Sunday, and his ankle was merely taped. Also, Jim Schwartz said after practice that the injury doesn't appear to be as bad as originally thought.

Hopefully this means Logan will be ready to go by the time the regular season rolls around.
