NFL commissioner Roger Goodell wasn't the Detroit Lions' only visitor at training camp on Thursday. He actually went to the Lions' facility on the "Madden Cruiser," and John Madden came along with Goodell for the visit.
While at the Lions' facility, Madden hoped to meet and get a picture with Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson, who is on the cover of Madden NFL 13. Madden got his wish:

Before meeting Johnson, Madden talked quite a bit about the supposed cover jinx, and he dismissed it for two good reasons:
Madden: I was on the cover for 15 year and never had a problem getting hurt.

If the game's namesake says Johnson will be fine, well, he should be fine.
