This might come as somewhat of a shock to those of you who also comment on Detroit Bad Boys, the Detroit Pistons blog I co-manage across the way, but your gracious leader, Sean Yuille, is allowing me to join the fold here to do some writing about our precious Detroit Lions.
For those of you who don't know me, I'm a 27-year-old die-hard Detroit sports fan, who is easy-going and enjoys a good GIF. I have a beautiful pregnant wife, a rambunctious yellow lab and a personal Twitter account.
My blogging experience dates back to 2005 after I left Michigan for college and graduate school. At first, my mostly unnoticeable cubbyhole on the internet was (and still sort of is) Detroit4lyfe until Sean offered me a spot as a contributor on SB Nation Detroit in 2010. In addition to being a contributor there and a co-managing editor for DBB, I helped re-launch Awful Announcing in 2010 as the managing editor for nearly two years and I currently contribute some at Walkoff Woodward, ESPN's Detroit Tigers blog.
While I've only commented a grand total of 48 times at POD, I've been a religious lurker since I stumbled upon it over five years ago and joined SB Nation as an official community member in April 2009. This season, I plan to supplement all the great work already done here with some relevant fantasy football posts each week and anything else Sean wants me to do along the way.
Anyhow, it should be a fun season and I'm honored to be a part of the best Lions community on the internet. Thanks to Sean for the opportunity and the dedicated POD readers (hey, Andrew!) for giving me a chance.
