Saturday's Detroit Lions Injury Report

The Detroit Lions are now in the second week of practice for training camp. More and more players are being held out due to injuries, but as mentioned on Friday, most of the injuries are relatively minor. Even so, the list of players dealing with injuries is quite lengthy and still seems to be growing by the day.

The good news for the Lions on Saturday is that defensive end Ronnell Lewis, defensive tackle Corey Williams and linebacker Stephen Tulloch were able to practice. Lewis left Friday's practice early, and Williams and Tulloch didn't practice at all. All three players were able to hit the field on Saturday, though.

The Lions didn't have wide receiver Titus Young, wide receiver Ryan Broyles, wide receiver Terrence Toliver, defensive end Edmon McClam and safety Don Carey on Saturday. These players are likely dealing with soreness more than anything, and all of them had been practicing earlier in the week.

The list of players who have been out recently and continued to be out on Saturday includes running back Mikel Leshoure, offensive tackle Jonathan Scott and safety Louis Delmas. Jim Schwartz addressed the status of both Scott and Delmas after practice.

During Saturday's practice, both cornerback Chris Houston and cornerback Alphonso Smith left with hamstring injuries. Houston was unable to return after getting his hamstring wrapped up, but Schwartz said after practice that Houston didn't pull it. Rather, Houston's hamstring tightened up, so the Lions shut him down. Smith was able to come back after trainers took a look at his hamstring.
