There are six days left until the first Detroit Lions exhibition game of the upcoming season! After this long and rather odd off season, I am thrilled to be so close to actual football. Seriously, tomorrow night we get to watch Cardinals vs Saints at 8 pm est. I know the hall of fame game is traditionally sloppy and rather ugly but who cares? It is NFL football! Finally!
Tomorrow night, we are going to be treated to a game ref'd by replacements. For this reason alone, I am going to be tuned in to watch the game. I hope no one ends up injured in any sort of way that could be attributed to poor refereeing. From what I have gathered with these refs covering scrimmages and such, it appears they are doing at least a capable job so far. I am curious what happens when the world is watching in front of potentially 22k fans (the game is being played at Fawsett Stadium)
I am also interested to see the intensity level the Saints bring to this game. They got caught with their hands in the cookie jar and had their hand violently and appropriately slapped. They seem to be really playing the, us against the world, sob story. Do they come out hard in this game tomorrow night and try to send a message?
Do you plan to watch the game tomorrow night too? If so, what are you going to be looking for?
Finally, the needless poll that ends all my needless posts....
