The Right Perspective

Usually, the theme of my posts has something to do with maintaining proper perspective and not getting too high or low during certain times of the season. We are two weeks in and A LOT of things are apparent to me. I hope you'll oblige me and hear me out.

The Lions are better than we are giving them credit for, generally speaking. The Rams are better this year.....from Jeff Fisher and a new coaching style and the fact that they just beat the Redskins, who beat New Orleans on their home turf. We beat the Rams without our best game (and without some of our best players). The 49ers ARE the best team in the league this year. And, yet again, we played a sub par game and only lost by 8 on their field. 8! That is with our secondary depleted AND Stafford playing like he is at the moment.

Guys, in my opinion, if we can get ourselves healthy and back in order....we're going to be DANGEROUS this year. The Lions proved a lot to me yesterday night, and not from their good play. What they proved to me is that, even without good play, they are in every game.

I am not sure how this season will play out. No one is. I can tell you we are going to cream the Titans next week (I'll be there in attendance, repping Detroit). Then, we SHOULD beat the Vikings. Bye week to regroup and get some people healthy hopefully. And then we can take on our schedule, which is looking relatively formidable.

Believe it or not, I think we can win our division this year. Before yesterday, I didn't think that. It's funny how much confidence a loss has given me. I am not sure how that happened, but it did.

GO LIONS!
