A guy who does a Raiders blog named Ninja Goro did a breakdown of our teams penalties complete with graphs and stats. Know this was posted before, by I think NiceNinjaX as a fanshot but when I put the link into a post about our 'D' recently, it seemed several people hadn't seen it and were not aware of it. So I thought as a fanpost maybe more would see this excellent work and explanation of some interesting facts derived from the teams penalties. Actually hope the coaching staff would get a look at this and use it in their meetings and player development.

If you look at the 'negated plays' for example it shows where some good defensive play was completely wiped out by one player making a stupid move. Granted some penalties are to be expected with our aggressive play and you can see we didn't play as badly when some were being committed as one would think.
The person who created this breakdown is a good writer as well (check out his blog on the Raiders also) and should be commended for the really nice work he did. Update: If you go to the 'about' page and look at the bottom to 'recent updates' it lists some plays of our offense in the preseason game against them this year with video. 1 of the plays here,

and you can see our 'O' line needs to play better or the fresh blood needs to come in ;)
Also found out that rekar had seen some work he did and asked if he could do something like that with our 'D' so a shoutout to him.
