Wow, Just horrible

I know what you were thinking. Another Josh post destroying our coaches. Well guess what? It is not happening today. This is about the new look of SBNation....

Seriously, this is just plan flat out ugly and frankly poorly implemented. When one is updating a website there are certain rules generally followed and one that stands out above the rest, IMHO......

You always try to keep the same general format to simplify the transition for your viewers while slowly implementing changes and adding new functions. Dramatic changes are not needed in general flow of a website from one iteration to another. You always try to maintain a certain "familiarity" so as to not push your viewers away. This is an epic failure....

Fortunately for SB nation most, if not all, of us are not going to stop viewing this site. (That is how viewers tell Web designers they went too far). We just have to work to relearn a site we already knew and that is the point of this fanpost. Have you found anything new? Are there interesting new additions that are not readily available or easy to access? Have you found old favorite functions in new places?

I was happy to see that you can click your own screen name at the top of the screen and still see a list of your posts, even if the list is now poorly displayed.

BTW, does anyone else look at the overall layout and design and think it looks like it was designed for computers a decade ago. When 800x600 screen resolution was top end and site designers had to make everything big so you could read it?

And, where the hell did our polls go?

New feature: “favorites”…. you can click on “my sb nation” and have a quick link to your favorite teams or blogs.
