As expected, the Detroit Lions have placed punter Ben Graham on injured reserve, ending his season. Graham got hurt on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. He suffered a calf injury and is now headed to IR.
Graham's replacement at punter is Nick Harris, who was the Lions' starter at this position from 2003-2010. Harris was let go last year during the final round of cuts when Ryan Donahue, then a rookie, beat him out for the starting job. As pointed out by Dave Birkett, the move to re-sign Harris really completes a "circle of life" at punter for the Lions.
Your NFL circle of life: Lions release Nick Harris in favor of Ryan Donahue, Donahue hurt, sign Ben Graham. Graham gets hurt, sign Harris

This year during training camp, Graham beat out Donahue for the starting job. Donahue is currently a free agent, but the Lions opted to bring Harris back instead of re-signing Donahue. The move means the usual special teams trio of Harris, Jason Hanson and Don Muhlbach is now back together again.

With Ben Graham potentially headed to injured reserve, it looks like the Lions might bring back punter Nick Harris to replace him.
