Well, we have not had an open thread in a while and there are lots of interesting things to talk about....

The Tigers are two games up on the Sox to win their division with only 6 games left. A very good place to be right now. If the Sox win their last 6 games, we would have to go 4-2 to tie them and force a single playoff spot elimination game. I hope it does not come down to that. Having JV start 2 of the 5 games in a short playoff series (against the Yanks no less) would be so nice. Here is to hoping we don't have to use him in that single elimination game.

The regular refs are back. They received cheers form the fans (lol) in Baltimore only to be followed by boos soon after the game started. They really do have a no love career. Right call, wrong call. Replacement or not. You are a ref, someone hates you.

Is it just me or does the Big Ten suck this year. Michigan is still rebuilding from "spread em out boy". State, it appears, is struggling from the loss of Cousins. State fans, correct me here if I am wrong on this?

As Big would say, most everything is fair game in this thread but please, stay away from politics. We get enough of that crap thrown into our faces everywhere else we go in life, lets keep it out of our favorite sports blog.

BTW, where the hell are the polls? It is not a Joshsun fanpost without a self-depreciating poll for the masses to fill with bile!!!

Oh, please don't rec this as is the norm with open threads. Apparently we can only have 2 rec'd fan posts in that area and both of them are well done and deserve their time at the top of the list. This is just a place to talk it up on all things football or not.
