Everybody Loves a Mock, So Why Don't You?

My vision of how the draft could/should unfold for untold Lions successes. Lemme know what you think.

Round 1: Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M
The Lions obviously need many holes filled on defense, and there are no secondary prospects worth taking this early. Teo is a possibility too.

Round 2: Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina. The player I'd like to see here would really be Matt Elam, S, Florida, but I think he will be taken before this pick. Cooper could also be taken in the late first, so Barrett Jones, C/OG, Alabama is another possibility

Round 3: Devin Taylor, DE, South Carolina. Clowney gets all the recognition, but Taylor is a beast in his own right. At 6'8" 275, he has incredible size and would make for an incredible pairing with Moore. This pick is also going with the assumption that Avril won't be back, KVB stinks, LoJack is 50/50 on being retained, Willie Young is retained, and Ronnell Lewis actually gets to see the rotation. Safety is also a consideration here, with Baccari Rambo, Shawn Williams, Phillip Thomas presumably still on the board.

Round 4: Baccari Rambo, S, Georgia. No 4th rounder right now, I know, but hopefully they trade for one or get a compensatory pick here.

Round 5: Braxston Cave, C, Notre Dame. The O-Line is old and needs replacements. Maybe not immediately, but in the near future when injuries start accumulating. I randomly picked Cave, but I just mean for this pick to be an interior OL. If you have a player here, let me know who it is.

Round 6: Chris Thompson, RB, FSU. He ran like Jahvid at Florida State, and that's exactly why the Lions should take a flier on him in the 6th round. He had a season ending knee injury, so he could easily fall this far, and the risk is low.

Round 7: Dann O'Neill, OT, WMU. Homer pick for me, but again, just a guy you take a flier on. Could be OT, LB, even a K if Hanson is gone.

Whaddya think?
