Ndamukong Suh's appeal of $100,000 fine denied

A decision has finally been made on Ndamukong Suh's appeal.

It's official: Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh owes the NFL $100,000 for a fine stemming from Week 1 of the season, as he has lost his appeal, according to the Associated Press.

The fine was originally handed out more than a month ago after Suh went low on a Minnesota Vikings player on an interception return. Suh was flagged for the illegal hit, and the NFL quickly decided to slap him with a $100,000 fine.

Suh immediately decided to appeal the fine in hopes of getting it lowered. Suh's appeal hearing was postponed a couple times before finally being held a couple weeks ago. Earlier this week, Suh was still waiting for a decision to come in, and now one has finally been made.

At this point, it's just good that this particular case has now come to a close. I don't know what took so long for a decision to be made on Suh's appeal, but after reviewing the case for the fine to be lowered, it was determined that it should remain at $100,000.

As a result of this decision, Suh has now lost a total of $342,794 to fines and a suspension since entering the NFL in 2010.
