Lions injury report: Chris Houston misses practice

Gregory Shamus

Detroit Lions cornerback Chris Houston did not take part in Wednesday's practice.

Starting cornerbacks Chris Houston and Rashean Mathis both left last week's game against the Chicago Bears. Mathis was held out because Bears doctors thought he lost consciousness, whereas Houston had to leave with a sore hamstring.

On Wednesday, Mathis took part in the Detroit Lions' practice and told MLive that he is 100 percent healthy. This isn't a huge surprise considering he wasn't actually diagnosed with a concussion, and he denied that he was ever unconscious after he went down following that big hit that forced him out of the game.

Houston was not able to practice on Wednesday. His hamstring is still an issue, and his status for Sunday is definitely up in the air as a result.

Here's the Lions' full injury report for Wednesday:

WR Calvin Johnson (knee) - Did not practice
WR Patrick Edwards (ankle) - Fully practiced
WR Nate Burleson (forearm) - Did not practice
OT Jason Fox (groin) - Fully practiced
OG Rob Sims (shoulder) - Limited in practice
DE Ziggy Ansah (abdomen) - Limited in practice
CB Rashean Mathis (head) - Fully practiced
CB Chris Houston (hamstring) - Did not practice
S Glover Quin (ankle) - Did not practice
S Louis Delmas (knee) - Did not practice

In other injury news, the Green Bay Packers have already ruled out running back James Starks and cornerback Casey Hayward for Sunday's game against the Lions.
