Pride of Detroit Player of the Year Week Eight

Well.....what do you say? Possibly the craziest freakiest game I've ever seen. Were we lucky, or unlucky? Who the hell knows, all I know is that we have a crucial W. Now, who ya gonna vote for? Everyone knows the drill by now.

3 points - Calvin Johnson. He fumbled, he also dropped a pass that led to a pick. But, he also had over 300 yards and was a pure and utter beast. It seemed like after those mistakes he just went into focus and dominated. 2nd most yards in a game by a receiver...EVER. How do you not give him the points.

2 points - Matthew Stafford. I came this close to giving Staff the top spot. He was the leader, he had the stats, and he made the gutsy play to win us the game. His passes at times were just phenomenal. He made a few mistakes as well, but he did a fantastic job, especially considering the adversity during most of the game.

1 point - DeAndre Levy. This last point was hard. I couldn't really think of anyone who didn't play particularly well. I could've given it to Bush, but he had a bad fumble. The pressure was solid at times, but not crazy. I think I'll give it to Levy because I think he did a good job in coverage and in a way, represents my respect for the defence as a whole who kept us in the game during the first three quarters.

Leaderboard after seven weeks:

1. Stafford (200)
2. Levy (183)
3. Bush (180)
4. Johnson (171)
5. Suh (130)
6. Bell (77)
7. Ansah (68)
8. Fauria (56)
9. Delmas (50)
10. Martin (38)

Top vote getters from week 7: Johnson (72, first time one player received every 3 point vote), Stafford (32), Suh (12), Waddle (11), Bell (4).
