In Week 8, the Detroit Lions' future opponents combined to go 2-4. Here's a look at how each team performed:
Week 10 - at Bears (4-3) - Bye week
Chicago is on an extended break with their next game not coming until next Monday at Green Bay.
Pittsburgh allowed a 93-yard touchdown run by Terrelle Pryor and was down 21-3 at one point in this game. The Steelers made it interesting with a couple of touchdowns in the fourth quarter, but that wasn't enough to avoid yet another loss.
The calls to fire Greg Schiano are getting louder and louder with Tampa Bay dropping to 0-7. This loss was at home and on NFL Network, and it was a one-sided affair against a division rival. I just don't see how Schiano will avoid being fired long enough to remain the head coach when the Bucs come to town in Week 12.
Green Bay scored on all eight of its real drives in this game. (I'm not counting the final drive where the Packers simply ran out the clock.) The Packers had 5 touchdowns and 3 field goals, and they went 13 for 18 on third down and 2 for 2 on fourth down. My goodness.
I think it's safe to say the honeymoon period is over for Chip Kelly. With Michael Vick re-aggravating his hamstring injury early on in this game, the Eagles had to turn to Matt Barkley. Things did not go well, to say the least. Philly only had 200 total yards and turned the ball over 3 times en route to its 10th loss in a row at home. Yikes.
Week 15 - vs. Ravens (3-4) - Bye week
Baltimore was one of six teams off in Week 8.
New York managed only 5 Josh Brown field goals in this game, but that was more than enough to win thanks to a stellar defensive performance. The Giants held Philly to only 200 total yards.
Minnesota made things interesting early on with a 109-yard kick return for a touchdown to open the game, but it was really all downhill from there. Green Bay took a 24-17 lead into halftime and was up 41-17 at one point. This one wasn't even close by the time the fourth quarter got rolling.
