Why did we lose today?

I blame 2 people today for the L. They are Linehan and Mayhew. I blame Linehan for not designing a game plan that would setup the Lions to succeed without Johnson and Burelson, but the person who gets the most blame is Mayhew. What is an OC suppose to do with the talent he has when you have an undrafted WR in Edwards, a WR who's been on a practice squad in Durham and another who is coming off a second ACL injury in Broyles. I blame Mayhew for the lack of talent at WR. You would think a GM who saw a team struggle last year without a legit weapon who is not named Calvin Johnson would go into the upcoming offseason and find a secondary weapon. Nope, not Mayhew he is willing to move forward with who he has and where did that get us today? It got us another L in GB for 23 straight years. This is unacceptable. Especially when in the first time in the NFL there are teams making moves via trade. Mayhew who has some of his best moves via trade not getting involved in anything. I am not saying he has not tried, but with his track record in the draft sometimes it is better to give up an extra draft pick than be in the position we are. We have a legit chance to win this division, but if you are not ready to lose some of your best players and still win the game you never will. Good teams always find a way to win when their best player is out and that is because 9 times out of 10 they have a player that is ready to step up. Detroit has never had that player. Granted we have Bush this year who has been great up to this point, but what did last year show us? You can still have that great 1 player (Calvin) and teams will design their whole defense around stopping him like the Packers did today. Once Calvin was declared out the Packers mission was to stop Bush and they succeeded because they knew the Lions did not have a WR that could beat 1 on 1 coverage. I know I am venting right now, but I am hoping that the Lions make a move that would make this team better to make a run. We have a chance this year with Calvin and Bush. Calvin is hurt this year and has been most the year and Bush has never played a full 16 game season. We need another weapon and I hope today was enough proof that Mayhew needed to make a move. Go Lions!!!!
