Why Is Regional Network Coverage So Messed Up?

Can someone with experience in media clue me in? Take a look at this coming Sunday's game coverage maps from the 506: http://506sports.com/nfl.php?yr=2013&wk=12 . Then please tell me why most of the entire stinkin' NATION from Maine to Texas to Washington has to watch the Panthers v Dolphins instead of Bucs/Lions, Bears/Rams or even Vikes/Pack? I get that Cam Newton is hot, OK--but the 5-5 'Fins? What's up with that?

To be fair, last Sunday in Kansas FOX did cut to the Second Half of the Lions/Steelers game and stayed there. . . just in time to see us fold or as another Lions' blog member put it "fart in church."

Makes it hard on those of us who continue to protest the outrageously high cost of Sunday Ticket. I'm not just griping here, I really want to know. Who's got the answer?
