Bizarre Games, NFC North, and NOT hopping off the wagon.

Bizarre Game:
Okay, the internet trolls, naysayers and "Fire Everyone" shouters are out in full force after the Tampa Bay loss. And I expected them to be. We have had two set backs with the last two games. Lions have started to dig a hole for their season, but we are still a game above .500, and still have a very good opportunity to win the NFC North. To me this game was a very bizarre game for the Lions. Durham's fumble, Pettigrew's duck, and Calvin's coughing up the ball were all freak plays that we cannot guard against. Sure, the pass to Pettigrew should have been thrown in front of him, but I feel that if Brandon doesn't duck, the ball either hits him in the head or he catches the ball at the last second. Let's face it.... if Calvin catches the ball and falls to the ground with possession we would have 50 seconds left and a timeout on the 1. We were literally still in the game up until the last 50 seconds. Not many teams can have a 5 turnover game and still have that chance to win it at the end. We score that TD and win, we would be talking very differently. Freak bizarre plays happen and ours came out in full force this game. I have this feeling that the Lions will come out strong against the Packers.

NFC North:

Bears are in disarray, Vikings are basically on Adrian Peterson's back, and Green Bay is wounded without Aaron Rodgers. If we can clean up our game and start to mount some wins, then we have a chance to make this season great. I personally feel that the Lions were feeling complacent at home against this team, maybe overlooking this team a bit because of the 2-8 record. But that doesn't matter now, what is done is done. We still have a good chance to take a strong presence in this division (all from beating the bears 2x). We win against the Pack, we have the clear lead in the North.

Not hopping off the wagon:

I for one am sticking with my Lions. We still have a good chance to win most of our final games as long as we don't let the talk and lights get to us. Regain that chip on our shoulder and play like underdogs. We don't do well with the spot light and unlike the Packers/ Bears we need people to count us out. Fine, let them. We can do this as long as the core of our team remains strong and vigilant. With a win this Thursday we would be 2-2 for the 3rd quarter of the season. That would still keep us in the hunt for the Playoffs and put is on better footing for the rest of the season.

Keep the faith Lions fans we cannot lose hope. If we do, then we are the same old Lions fans. NFL analysts say this is the same old Lions team. Well are we the same old lions fans to go with, or are we better than what we once were. Have we learned that the typical Lions fans would immediately jump off the cliff when setbacks like this happen? Let's see what we do this Thanksgiving. We could surprise everyone... including the Packers. Keep the faith and don't let this loss get us down. On to the Packers, lets get the Win. GO LIONS!
