Would Signing Chad Johnson be the WORST thing in the World?

We've spoken about this about 100 times in the past couple of years... going all the way back to when a picture was taken of Stafford tossing passes to Calvin and Chad down in Georgia during the summer of the lockout. Chad Johnson has had some issues over the past couple of years, most notably with his 20 minute stint with the Dolphins.

My take on Chad Johnson is simple. He has always considered himself a #1 WR and its been years since he actually has been one. The fact is we have the best and most dominant WR in the game... Chad knows this. What we need right now is a slot to take some attention off of Calvin. Nate will be back against Chicago but he won't be 100%. Durham is starting to turn into a very good #2 but he does not command enough attention to cover. Like him or not, Chad would command attention and would still be tough to cover. He still unquestionably has the speed (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbujgzMWrkg) and we will get touches. Chad knows this would be his last chance to put on a jersey in the NFL and i don't see him putting himself in front of anyone, especially Calvin.

For 8 games left and a solid push for the playoffs, would this be the worst idea in the world?

Talk about it.
