Coaches I want/those I don't if Schwartz gets fired

This is a bit premature, but I was thinking about this today after that disappointing lose to the Ravens. I believe Schwartz should be fired even if he makes the playoffs. I know he took a 0-16 team and got them to the playoffs in three years, but he has not sustained that success. So with that, here are a few coaches I would love for us to interview, and some I would hate.

Coaches I'd Want

Jon Gruden- Gruden has a nice little gig over at ESPN but it seems like he still wants to coach. He ran Tampa 2 defense which is partially what we run, and he is known as being hard noised which is exactly what this team needs. I want a coach to actually rip into Matthew Stafford for making dumb plays and not making the right reads.

Jay Gruden- Jon Gruden but without the head coaching (NFL) experience. Offensive coordinator for the Bengals right now which has one of the best WR's in the business (sounds familiar). Stafford is much better than Dalton, and Gruden finds different ways to distribute the ball.

Mike Zimmer- Did you watch hard knocks?! This guy is tough and discipline. There is no way Nick Fairley will be getting 10 presnap penalties with this guy swearing/spitting chew at his face after the first one. Runs a similar defense as the Lions and CAN GET PRODUCTION BY RUSHING 4 GUYS. He made Geno Atkins a star, what could he do with two DTs who are of Atkins caliber if not better? He also gets the most out of guys, Pacman Jones, Vontaze Burfict to name a few. Guys with off field issues will listen/respect him. Something Schwartz could not do (Titus Young).

David Shaw- I don't think he will leave Stanford but a guy can dream right? He runs a pro style offense and has a tough grind-it-out defense. Big boom or bust potential when it comes to college coaches.

Rex Ryan- Yes, I typed it. You read it right. Could you imagine running the hybrid defense with Suh, Fairley, and Jones on the line while Ansah, Levy, Tulloch, and (draft choice/ ex Ryan player who he convinces to come with him) using them to actually SACK the qb, not make QBs like Flacco look like Mike Vick? Offensively, Ryan loves running the ball which would be great for us! Now I know what you are thinking, why would you want to run the ball with Megatron just standing there? Two words: PLAY ACTION. If we get Ryan running it down defenses throats, they will have to stack eight in the box. This will allow Megatron to maybe, MAYBE have single coverage or at least, double coverage and a tight end is wide open.

Coaches I Don't Want

Scott Linehan- No thank you. If Schwartz gets fired after the next game, Linehan will more than likely become intern head coach for week 17. If we win in week 17, the Ford family will be like "Well there's our coaching answer." NO! I do not want Linehan babying Stafford and letting him get away with making terrible throws. Get him out of here.

Bill O'Brien- Here is a list of NFL head coaches coming from the Bill Belichick tree. Romeo Crennel, Al Groh, Josh McDaniels, Eric Mangini, Nick Saban, and Jim Schwartz. Need I say more?

Any coach that is fired this year (except for Rex Ryan)- Frasier, Garrett, Kubiak, Shannahan... no thank you.

Let me know what you guys think!
