After having a walkthrough on Wednesday, the Detroit Lions held an actual practice on Thursday. Linebacker DeAndre Levy was one of the players who didn't take part in the practice, as he is dealing with a foot injury. Tight end Brandon Pettigrew was also out after suffering an ankle injury on Monday night.
On a positive note, cornerback Chris Houston was limited in practice on Thursday. All signs point to him returning to game action this week, which is good news considering cornerback Darius Slay hasn't practiced since tearing his meniscus earlier this month. Also, cornerback Rashean Mathis missed practice on Thursday with an illness, although he's not expected to be out on Sunday.
Here's the Lions' full Thursday injury report:
WR Calvin Johnson (knee) - Did not practice
