I'm not going to do a Poll or anything, just want a few good ideas (and maybe some dark humor, if you feel like it): how do you all cope with this stuff? We heard Moose, Goose & Company just rattle off the stats: Lions had a share of first place in the NFC-N for 10 weeks; they have now blown 6 out of 8 4Q leads; etc. For a fact, I'm a little discouraged and frustrated like the rest of you. And of course it's way too early to talk about next year's Draft.
So tell me: what's your coping mechanism? For me, it's the individual stories: I follow all the roster moves through training camp, pre-season and the regular season. Then I record the TDs, sacks, INTs and such as the game unfolds, seeing who has a good season or an unexpectedly good season--like Ansah, Fauria, Levy, Taylor, Waddle, Warford, Young and Jeremy Ross. Younger guys starting to shine give me hope when the season is effectively over, as it is now. Desperate, I know, but it helps.
So what do YOU do to keep from going absolutely off-the-charts insane? Thanks for your input in advance. You are a fantastically knowledgeable and funny group of individuals. Let's do what Reggie should have done the rest of the game and KEEP OUR HEADS UP!
