Fire Schwartz chants falling from the rafters, but what if Scott Linehan is the real problem? Schwartz isn't the person in control of our offense and throwing interceptions/ fumbling the ball away. Turnovers have been the worst part of this season. Stafford throwing as many Interceptions as he did his rookie year. I love the Stafford from 6-3 beginning of the season, not the 1-5 Stafford. Matt had 14 TD to 7int. ratio in those first 9 games, then the anti Stafford has reared his ugly head the last 6 games and throws 9 TD to 12 int. I know that there have been quite a few batted balls into interceptions, but there has to be a real reason for these problems. Coaching a offense needs to have strength at the helm and I think Linehan needs to go more than Schwartz.
I don't think our defense is the problem (they have their moments), but I really think it is our offense that is causing all the grief. I don't know if firing Jim Schwartz will really do what the Lions need. Maybe Linehan is more of the problem than Schwartz. The Lions/ Matthew Stafford need a strong offensive coordinator that will hold Stafford more accountable for this mistakes, but will push him to the next level, the Brady/Brees/Manning echelon type player. Staff has the talent to take the Lions to the big show, but the turnovers are killing the Lions. Lions offense doesn't work like clockwork, like the Saints/ Pats/Broncos and it should. I think it needs new leadership at the coordinator spots and not so much at the top level. I know Schwartz is the guy that makes the final choices, but maybe Linehan is the guy on offense that needs to perform better.
Tell me what you think, I am really interested in what you guys think about this topic.
Also, What if we have been an 8-8 team all along, but we wanted to believe we could do it all.... maybe with a little more team building in the off season (draft/Free Agency) then we take the next step. Crazier Sh*t has happened before.
