After having a short week before their game on Thanksgiving, the Detroit Lions got the weekend off before returning to the practice field on Tuesday to start preparing for the Philadelphia Eagles. During Tuesday's practice, only wide receiver Calvin Johnson and safety Louis Delmas didn't take part in the action. Delmas is likely just getting his usual time off, and really the same could be said for Johnson, who had an ice pack on his right knee, according to Dave Birkett.
With only Johnson and Delmas out, this means that cornerback Chris Houston returned to practice. He missed last week's game against the Green Bay Packers because of a foot injury, but perhaps he will be back this week to take on the Eagles.
Chris Houston says his foot is day to day, probably wouldn't have played Sunday.— Carlos Monarrez (@cmonarrez) December 3, 2013
Considering Eagles quarterback Nick Foles has thrown for 1,791 yards, 19 touchdowns and 0 interceptions, the Lions could use all the help they can get in the secondary.
