The 2012 POD Awards come to a close with the category for the Detroit Lions' Most Valuable Player. Here are the nominees:
Stafford threw for 4,967 yards in 2012, just barely missing out on his second consecutive season with 5,000 yards. He had 20 touchdowns and 17 interceptions, as well as 4 rushing touchdowns.
Johnson broke Jerry Rice's single-season receiving record with 1,964 yards receiving on 122 receptions. He had 5 touchdowns on the season.
Suh had 35 tackles and finished with 8.0 sacks on the season.
Houston had 56 tackles and 11 pass defenses in 14 games for the Lions. He also had 2 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles.
Hanson set the Lions' single-season scoring record in 2012 thanks to converting 32 of his 36 field goal attempts. He also made all 38 of his extra points.
