As part of our season wrap-up series, the 2012 POD Awards roll on. Next up is the category for the Detroit Lions' Offensive Player of the Year. Here are the nominees:
Stafford threw for 4,967 yards in 2012, just barely missing out on his second consecutive season with 5,000 yards. He had 20 touchdowns and 17 interceptions, as well as 4 rushing touchdowns.
Leshoure racked up 798 yards rushing and 214 yards receiving in 14 games. He had 9 rushing touchdowns in 2012.
RB Joique Bell
Bell only had 3 touchdowns on the season, but he had 414 yards rushing and 486 yards receiving despite not starting a single game.
Johnson broke Jerry Rice's single-season receiving record with 1,964 yards receiving on 122 receptions. He had 5 touchdowns on the season.
OG Rob Sims
Sims started all 16 games for the Lions and was voted the team's most outstanding offensive lineman by his teammates.
