Maybe it's not as far-fetched an idea as some would believe.

I have seen all the "Let's trade Suh" posts as well, and have also agreed with the responders that you don't trade one of your best players, especially a pro-bowl, all-pro caliber player, for a bunch of picks with unknown value. But what if you knew what you were getting for him before hand? Is there any trade that could be made that would make sense?

I like Suh, but lately have been thinking more and more of the idea of moving him. One reason is that I think this team is being handicapped in a big way from improving the roster because we are struggling to carry the three large pre-cba contracts of Suh, Calvin and Stafford. The caps hits are just too high for three players. For the sake of the team having more $$$ to manuever with, it just makes sense to lose one of the big three. And Suh just happens to be the one to lose. Stafford needs to be signed long term like Calvin was last year and let them play their careers out together. Seeing Fairley come on last season also makes the move seem a little easier to digest. And I really think Suh will fly to the money as soon as he is an UFA...I don't think he'll be a lifer Lion anyway.

The problem then becomes, who could you find to trade with? And for what? A trade I would like to see is Suh going to Buffalo and us getting CJ Spiller in return. There may need to be an additional player or pick(s) thrown in to balance it out, but it would give us some cap relief and also provide us with the dynamic speed back and excellent returner we really need right now.

I don't claim to know who is worth what as far as trading goes...and not even sure if Suh fits the defensive style Buffalo is running...just trying to be creative. This was just an exercise of "thinking outside the box". It may have some merit to it...it may be totally unrealistic...who knows. It's intended to just get the thought process going. I'm sure some of you may have better trade options available...what can you come up with?

Jacksonville, Oakland, Philadelphia, Tennessee, Miami, Carolina, New Orleans, Dallas, Minnesota and Seattle are all teams that could be looking for a big upgrade at DT. Any possibilities you can see that may make sense for us?
