So after a big splash into free agency where most of us were very pleased, especially when we all thought there was no money available, our draft needs have changed a bit.
The re-signing of Chris Houston, Willie Young, DeAndre Levy, Cory Hillard, Don Muhlbach, Karreem Osgood, Amari Spievey and Jason Fox (think that's all of them) will add depth and starters at a few different positions.
With those signing, here is my Ides of March Mock Draft
Round 1 - Eric Fisher, LT, Central Michigan. First I am hoping he is going to be there at #5, you never know. He will replace Jeff Backus and allow Reiff to stay on the right side where he belongs.
Round 2 - Datone Jones, DE, UCLA. Love his size and behind the line of scrimmage ability.
Round 3 - Travis Fredrick, OG/C, Wisconsin. I was thinking about going Terrance Williams from Baylor here but I think we need that guy who can play guard for a season and then move over to centre next year when Dom's contract is up.
Round 4 - No pick
Round 5 - Chris Harper, WR, Kansas State. Decent size, good speed, great hands. Suppose to be super strong as well. Read nothing bad about this guy.
Round 6 - David Bass, DE, Missouri Western. This year's Willie Young. Good size and speed.
Round 7 - Quinn Sharp, P, Oklahoma State. I know we signed a punter a few weeks ago after some amazing workout but we need the guy for the future. I wanted to get a OLB in here somewhere but I ran out of picks.
Hopefully some compensatory picks come our way and we can fill in there.
