There are a couple guys at my work place I discuss sports with when I'm not trying to complete my 7000 task ... today the topic they were already on when I walked up was Dee Milliner they guy they love! They were sure the Lions would draft him, so just to throw a little something out there I mentioned, they drafted three corners last year. each one looked good up until injured. Should we draft a fourth corner in almost as many picks?
After a few *Grumbles* they said yes, and said what do you have idea wise that is better. After reading a billion post and comments and taking in so much info here on PoD, I thought ... what would I do?? I never really put down a plan. So thinking about it a moment I scribbled this out on a sheet of paper.
1st - Fischer OT
2nd B. Jones G/C
3rd and 5th W Ghoulston DE and the best available DE or LB or WR left
6th David Quessenberry G
7th Defense Again ... BPA
I can't remember their comp picks, I know they have more but we have a bounty of "Who knows" in the corner-back spot, but imagine this for the next few years ...
T Reiff, G Sims, C Jones, G Quessenbery T Fischer with Nagy, Fox and Gandy in reserve? Can you argue against that.
(Granted I had like three minutes, and I hate BPA sometimes but I was trying to show them a different way)
I handed them the sheet a couple minutes later, they looked at it and said ... "Everyone can argue against that, do you know anything about football?
So I gotta ask do I know anything about football? is my beginning on good foundation?
