Is it even worth holding on to the #5 pick?

This draft fails to excite me on more levels than any previous. I firmly believe that there is no one likely to fall to us that is even worth the pick at #5. Odds are we will make a selection at this point any way, and be saddled with a contract comensurate of #5 selection which may well be the talent level of a 2nd round pick in years gone by. I have to ask whether it's even worth taking someone here. Ideally, I'd chuck the pick to the Jaguars for their 1st rounder next year, and their 2nd and 4th rounders this year, I doubt they'd go for that though. It's crossed my mind to pull a Minnesota. Just let our time expire on the clock and take a guy around 11. Again, not likely to happen. I have a couple of questions I'd like you to take the time to answer.

1. If you were to compare #5 this year with previous years, please grade it on a scale of 1-10 in a value comparison. Does this pick hold the same value vs. expenditure?

2. Assuming you were looking to get rid of this pick at all costs, what is the minimum value in return you would realistically see the team accepting to get rid of it?

3. Do we have a snowballs chance in getting rid of this pick?

For the record, here is my firm analysis of the talent level I expect to be available at picks 5-10 in this years class compared to previous years - This class sucks the sweat off a dead donkeys balls. Two thumbs down.

Our big debate thus far, has been whether we take a freaking Guard, an explative DE that had 4.5 effin sacks last year, a second offensive tackle off the board, or a cotton pickin CB that would be the third off the board any other year. Oh, and let's not forget the 3-4 DE that hardly wieghs enough to play OLB in the 4-3 that people want to take like a square peg and ram it into a round hole. Oh, and the other over-rated DE that was the big hype and all people agree he is merely average. Is this #5 quality? No.
