Shariff Floyd at #5?

I'm going to begin this post by making an assumption that the top 2 tackles are gone by the #5 pick. If that is the case which very well could be then to me the only other realistic option for the #5 pick is DL assuming we don't take Warmack or Cooper(I don't believe that Millner is an option for us at #5). Everyone obviously sees our DE situation as a problem but there is a real issue with the value of the players at the top of this years class. Since DE is so weak why shouldn't we look at DT? To me there are a couple clues out there that make this a real possibility and no one is talking about. We haven't resigned LoJack or Cory Williams and Fairley has durability issues. Bringing Floyd in would sure up depth at DT plus I believe he and Suh are both capable of affecting the game from the DE position. Beyond injury insurance we could use all 3 on the field at the same time to really vary our looks or at the very least have a real solid rotation in the middle keeping those guys fresh. If we did this we could get a true DE around the 3rd or 4th round and still address our interior OL in the 2nd and/or 3rd round. Outside of injury insurance Floyd could also be a long term solution for Suh potentially departing in Free Agency in a couple years. I just haven't seen this idea discussed and I think it should be because I feel it is a realistic possibility. It does throw you back to the Millen Era a little with the WR almost every year in the 1st but if the whole defensive philosophy is structured around strong play at DT then Floyd has a real value for our team at #5. If we truly draft BPA and he is there do we pass on him for a less talented DE? If you look at how many snaps we lost at DT when you take away Sammie Hill and Corey Williams I think you can begin to appreciate how this would not be all that bad of a pick for us this year. How would everyone else out there feel about it if we used the #5 pick for Floyd?
