I know I'm probably in the minority but I've always been a fan of Dominic Raiola
. No one works harder and he's as tough as they come as he's only missed a few starts due to injury. With that said, it might be time for a change. With Jeff Backus
retired and Stephen Peterman
released, Dom might be next. I know he just took a big pay cut to stay with the team but we still need an upgrade at center. Throughout his career, he's been overpowered by some of the bigger defensive tackles in the game which has hurt our running game for years. Dom rarely gets a push, normally he gets either stood up and pushed backwards. I say the Lions
need to get younger, bigger and stronger on the offensive line to protect Matthew Stafford
and open holes for our new investment, Reggie Bush
. You do that by cutting Dom and starting Bill Nagy
at center. You replace Peterman with Rodney Austin
who Lions coaches are very high on. You also draft a lineman at #5 be it Eric Fisher, Lane Johnson or Chance Warmack as its very doubtful Luke Joeckel will be there at five. You might wanna take Chance as you have three young tackles ready to step up in Jason Fox
, Riley Reiff
and Corey Hilliard
. You can always take another lineman later on in the draft. But that's what I would do to make the Lions O-Line stronger and make our offense the best since the Greatest show on Turf! It all starts with the big uglies up front.
