2013 NFL mock draft: Todd McShay releases two-round mock

USA TODAY Sports

ESPN's Todd McShay has released a two-round 2013 NFL mock draft. Let's examine the two players he has projected to go to the Detroit Lions.

ESPN's Todd McShay released his fourth 2013 NFL mock draft on Thursday. This particular version includes two full rounds, giving us a look at what the Detroit Lions could do with the fifth overall pick and the 36th overall selection.

In the first round, with Texas A&M offensive tackle Luke Joeckel and Central Michigan offensive tackle Eric Fisher both off the board, the Lions are projected to draft BYU defensive end Ezekiel Ansah. McShay writes that the Lions will have to "look long and hard" at Oklahoma offensive tackle Lane Johnson should both Joeckel and Fisher be off the board, but he went with Ansah because they are in need of help at defensive end. McShay views Ansah as "an explosive pass-rusher with elite burst" and someone who could be like Aldon Smith or Jason Pierre-Paul if he reaches his potential.

With defensive end out of the way in the first round, McShay has the Lions taking Connecticut cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson in the second round. The Lions could go in a number of different directions with the 36th overall pick, but McShay thinks addressing their need at cornerback is the best option. Florida State's Xavier Rhodes and Washington's Desmond Trufant are both first-round picks in this mock draft, so Wreh-Wilson is the best available cornerback in McShay's mind.

If the Lions do take Ansah with the fifth overall pick, what position do you think they should target in the second round?
