The NFL Draft is less than 3 months away and for the last month, my choice would have remained with Millner from Bama. One of the 500,000 reasons I am not an NFL GM is because I "think like a fan"... like I'm playing franchise mode in Madden. Who drafts an LT in the 1st round while playing Madden franchise mode? The sexy pick is to go for the CB and to set the league record for interceptions in your own artificial Madden NFL Universe.

The real NFL is different. Right now for as many gaps as we have on Defense; we have to look to the O-Line. Mayhew has obviously taken notice that something needed to be different on the OLine because year-after-year we are unable to run the ball despite the same line providing pretty good pass protection. Personally I don't think our defense was as bad as what it showed on paper. I just think they were on the field too much because of all the 3 And Out's we were doing in the first 3qt's of football.

I believe that Bell and LeShoure are very capable tandem; and with the right O-Line blocking for them, we are more able to spend the entire game wearing defense down and controlling the clock. Almost every team we played against last year was keeping 6 in the box with two safeties deep... that should be 150 yard rushing day for any RB; teams were practically daring us to run up the middle because they were so concerned with covering Megatron. By revamping our line and getting new younger, quicker bodies in the mix, we can be that team who controls the game. I might be wrong on this one but I feel that even if we had a Pro Bowl secondary last year, they still would have had a bad year because the offense wasn't producing for the first 3 quarters of football.

In conclusion, I would be happy as hell with a Tackle or even a Guard in the 1st round.
