I just read that the Lions gave Havard Rugland, a.k.a. " Kickalicious ", a three year $1.485 million dollar contract. However, the deal included no signing bonus and no guaranteed money.
Can anyone explain then how that works if he gets cut ? I mean, if there was no signing bonus and no guaranteed money, is the deal then just sort of contingent on his making the team on an extended tryout ?
Also then, the guy comes over here from Norway, probably soon, and then he'll start working out with Bonamego and the Lion's staff. So I wonder what his checks will look like for the time between now and late August. Is year one of the deal prorated weekly over a 52 week year like any normal wage earner ?, or, how does a free agent contract with no guarantees normally work ?
