As a fan I can only really evaluate the draft in respect to the grades or rankings that the leading Internet services provide. I hope that the team's management does their homework and looks deeper, but from what I've seen over the past 30 years it seems to be doubtful that this really does in fact happen.

Someone posted to ask whether Martin Mayhew seemed to be drafting as if his job depended on it this year, or he was taking a longer run developmental perspective. Based on the grades I'm inclined to give him I could only hope he had something in mind besides trying to add the best players possible for this season. I'm dumbfounded and frustrated by what looks like the type of drafting that Matt Millen did during his tenure.
