So now that all the so called qb needy have all at least got a stop gap, minus Jacksonville Jaguars but no way Geno Smith goes at 2, I thought this would be a good time to predict possible trading scenarios and to give a guess of what will happen post the top ten picks.
So first thing is first the way I see it the only players which people may trade up to grab at the number 5 pick would be Fisher, Johnson, Milliner or perhaps even Star Lotuleli. Personally if Fisher is still on the board trading away the pick is not an option unless it is a Carson Palmer level deal, 2 1st rounders, however I would be fine trading back with the other two. So could want to trade up?
Arizona Cardinals Everyone know they need an o-line and they already have a half way decent defense so this one could happen but probably only if they think we will be taking Johnson at 5. We would move down to pick 7
Chargers. Let us face it they are a mess. They need both Oline and Cornerback back and with a new GM and HC they could be bold to try and nab someone up above minus Star Lotuleli. We would move down to pick 11.
Both the Dolphins and Bucs have the same sort of need for a corner back so they could possibly either also try to jump up to 5 or maybe just to 11 if the Chargers do trade up and Rhodes or Trufant is high up on their boards.
Now later on in the first round I suspect at about the Colts at 24 teams will start trading back into the first round to land one of the Quarterbacks and this will cause a few good players to slip. The thing is because again College football doesn't really get shown over here. I would like to put this question to tender Who do you the good people of POD see falling out of round one due to the Quarterback run and would you be willing to trade either back to the very end of one or just up a few spaces at the start of two to grab someone?
