Are One Sided Drafts an Interesting Way to go?

I've been thinking about this for a while and I would like to hear what others have to say. If we focused a full draft on offense or defense in back to back years, do you think that might be enough to get enough talent on each side of the ball to be contenders?

For example, if we got a LT, OG, and C in the first 3 rounds, I would say our oline has been solidified already.

Then, the rest of the draft can be used to pick up WR, TE, and extra depth across all positions on offense.

Or, we could be completely defensive minded. We could get two DE, OLB, DT, and depth across all positions.

On the surface it seems odd, but I feel like getting 5-7 prospects for one side of the ball could turn into 2-3 day 1 starters, and could yield more quality players that play meaningful minutes.

So, what do the fans of POD think of this possible draft strategy?
