So PFF released a very interesting article the other day about running backs facing 8 or more men in the box. It basically started off with a lot of people complaining on twitter about Jamaal Charles and how he constantly faced 8 or more men in the box and resulted in him having a down year. So PFF decided to look into it and did some research on how many times each RB did indeed face 8 or more men in the box. Frank Gore came in at #1 with facing 8 or more men in the box a total of 42.25% of the time. The league average was at 23.25%. And as you can see, Leshoure came in dead last with 6.05% facing 8 or more men in the box only 13 times compared to 202 with 7 or fewer.
This is pretty disappointing knowing that Leshoure's longest run on the year was only 16 yards. It seemed like he had every opportunity to break out for a big run but couldn't do it. I'm not trying to say he's a bust or how bad he was last year or anything, but I'm really hoping that he can step it up this year.
Anyways, you guys can look at it however you want, I just thought this was a pretty interesting article and wanted to share it with everyone.
